Slovakian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI)

The history of the Commercial and Industrial Chambers on the territory of the Slovak Republic is dated back to the first half of the last century. Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Bratislava, Banska Bystrica and Kosice were the driving forces of the enterpreneurial activities development in Slovakia. These activities and traditions continues by the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry which was set up on the basis of the Act No. 9/1992 of the Slovak National Council.
The members of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry are legal entities and natural persons, further those performing enterpreneurial activities in any branch of economy whatever, with the only exception of agriculture and food processing industries.
The Bratislava Regional Chamber is one of the nine Regional Chambers in Slovakia

The Bratislava Regional Chamber, the biggest one in Slovakia, was set up on February 1992 and covers services for about 1.000 companies registered in the company register. Most of our members ( the number of Bratislava´s region members is 560 ) consists of limited liability companies and joint stock companies. As for the number of employees and the turnover, the majority of our members belongs to the category of small and medium-sized companies.
After the change of a membership from compulsary to voluntary in May, 1996 the services are providing in the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry payable and the Chamber is working on commercial basis.
