Romania February 2010: SMEs supported by European Regional Development Fund


Small and medium enterprises will be granted funds ranging from 50 to 70 per cent for infrastructure projects development, by “Regional Operational Program on Efficient Development of Local and Regional Business Supporting Structures” presented during a seminar organised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administrative Reform (MIRA), Nine o'Clock reports.

Small enterprises will be provided financial support of 70 per cent of the total project value, and enterprises from Ilfov area will be granted 60 per cent. Moreover, medium enterprises will be offered support of 60 per cent and those Ilfov area 50 per cent for construction, modernisation, buildings’ or roads’ expansion, equipment acquisition projects, in cities or at countryside.

The value of the project must totalise EUR 500,000 to 25,000,000 and to respect applicable environment and energetic efficiency laws, promote chances’ equality and non-discrimination. Moreover, the project is required not to have been provided support from public funds during the lat five years.
