Siemens VAI Metals Technologies, a subdivision of Siemens AG, has signed up an order from Russian Maxi Group for supply and installation of a mini factory to produce steel in the industrial zone of Vorsino located near Kaluga. The launch of the new factory is scheduled for 2011.

Jean Francois Mules Project Director Engineering Division organized the senior teams of Moscow on the planning of the operation in Novgorod.

The planned capacity of the enterprise will make up 1.5 million ton of melted steel a year.

The up-to-date factory will focus on recycling scrap metal only.
